Rules for using the Narcis platform, for clients and specialists alike. By registering you agree to these terms.

1. Definitions
“Platform” means the Narcis website and its services. “Client” means a user looking for psychological support. “Specialist” means a psychologist or psychotherapist who provides services through the platform. “Session” means an online consultation held by video.
2. Subject
The platform provides the technical means to find a specialist, book a time, pay and hold a video session. The psychological service itself is provided directly by the specialist; the platform provides matching, payment, video connection and support.
3. Registration and acceptance
Registering and/or paying constitutes acceptance of these terms. You undertake to provide accurate information and not to share access to your account with third parties. Only a person aged 18 or over may hold an account. Therapy for a child or a teenager is possible through a legal guardian’s account — see section 3a.
3а. Clients under 18
Only an adult may create an account on the platform. If therapy is needed for a child or a teenager, the account is created and these terms are accepted by a parent or other legal guardian, who is the party to this agreement, pays for the sessions and is responsible for the booking.
Work with a minor begins with the legal guardian’s consent and only with a specialist who has the relevant training. What the specialist shares with the parents, and the limits of a teenager’s confidentiality, are agreed at the start of the work. Only a specialist whose profile lists the “Children” or “Teenagers” specialisation may hold such a session.
A minor cannot register and book a session independently, without their legal guardian’s knowledge.
4. Booking and holding sessions
The client picks a free slot from the specialist’s schedule. The session takes place in a video room on the site at the appointed time; the room opens shortly before the start. Each specialist sets their own session length in their profile — usually 50 or 60 minutes; it is shown on their page before you book.
The 10-minute rule. If one party does not join within 10 minutes of the appointed time and has not agreed a delay or a reschedule in advance, the session is treated as not having taken place. Both parties record the reason (which party failed to show up) in their dashboard, and it appears in the session history.
4а. How we verify therapists
We check the education, professional training and supervision of every therapist, and we state their practice experience openly in the profile — so that you can choose the specialist who suits you. Before a profile is published we check:
- a degree in a relevant field of higher education;
- documents confirming training in psychotherapeutic methods;
- practical work experience (which we show in the profile rather than hide);
- attendance of regular supervision.
If training in a particular method is still under way, we say so directly in the profile. Therapists at the start of their practice are required to attend supervision more often — at least twice a month.
Narcis therapists also commit to professional ethics, confidentiality and regular continuing professional development.
The «Qualifications verified» badge means that Narcis has checked the documents and confirmed that the therapist meets the basic professional requirements of the platform. The platform may withdraw verification in the event of a confirmed serious breach of professional ethics.
5. Prices and payment
The specialist sets the price of a session. Payment is made on the site only, through the connected payment systems (Ukrainian and international cards) — direct transfers to a specialist outside the platform are not permitted and are not covered by these rules. Payment is due before the session starts: access to the video room opens once payment is made. If payment is not made, the session is treated as unbooked and the specialist may give the slot to another client.
6. Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds
- You may cancel or reschedule a session with no charge no later than 24 hours before it starts.
- If you cancel 24 hours or more in advance, the payment is refunded in full.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, or if the client does not show up (the 10-minute rule), the payment may not be refunded — this compensates the specialist for the time reserved.
- If the session did not take place because of the specialist (who did not join within 10 minutes) or the platform, the refund is full.
7. Rights and obligations of the parties
The client undertakes to treat the specialist and the session rules with respect. The specialist undertakes to act within the limits of professional ethics and of their qualifications. Abusive behaviour, recording sessions without consent, and attempts to move the working relationship off the platform to circumvent these terms are prohibited.
8. For specialists
A specialist goes through verification (diploma/certification) before their profile is published. Specialists set their own price and schedule. A specialist must give advance notice of a price change to clients already in therapy with them, before the next session is booked.
Commission and payouts. The client pays for the session on the platform. The platform retains a commission of 20% of the session price, covering client matching, the video room, payments, reminders and support. The remainder is transferred to the specialist. Payouts are made for sessions that took place and were not cancelled, every two weeks, to the bank details provided by the specialist. The platform gives at least 30 days’ notice of any change to the commission; bookings already confirmed keep the previous rate.
9. Confidentiality
The content of sessions is confidential. The exceptions are cases of a real threat to life or health, and requirements of the law. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of liability
Narcis is not an emergency service. In a crisis or when life is at risk, call the emergency services. Psychotherapy does not guarantee any particular outcome and does not replace medical care prescribed by a doctor.
11. Intellectual property
The design, texts and code of the platform belong to Narcis. Use without permission is prohibited.
12. Dispute resolution
Disputes are resolved through negotiation; if no agreement is reached, in accordance with the law of Ukraine.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page; material changes come with a notification.
